It is very important to not try to chemically spray them yourself. Not only for your own safety, but for the future of that hive. Call me as soon as you find the hive and I can typically give you an assessment over the phone as to what will be involved in safely removing the bees.
I always try to use the minimum amount of cuts into your structure when I perform a removal and I completely finish the project by removing all the honeycomb and honey in order to prevent damage/rot to the structure and secondary pest infestation.
